We are living in apprehensive times!
Whether by choice or by circumstance, people are slowing down, looking inwards for greater meaning and challenging themselves to find fulfillment in the everyday.
Because of this, the definition of today’s urban lifestyle is transforming, outgrowing many of the preconceived notions of what urban is. And as the definitions of urban lifestyle shift, how and Where will individuals seek new inputs of wellbeing, emotional fulfillment & social good?
This was the question I kept asking myself back in 2014 when I experienced Burnout, with a baby, and in a foreign country. Having to juggle between work, travel, the baby, pumping milk and takign care of myself... And with it (together with my background as a meditation, breathwork and Yôga teacher), came the motivation to create... or rather contribute and start a conversation around redefining the meaning of wellbeing, in the urban space, for humans who don't want to adhere to the fact that they will be faced with a choice between REST or PERFORM.
It took me a minute, but during a brainstorm with Mauro once day, I said "why do we have to see feeling good as possible only in a remote place, disconnected from everyone? why can't we create a place that feels like a hub to R&R in the city!". And then he said: and let's call it Urbantopia!
So, introducing: URBANTOPIA. A project that will exist digitally in the online world, and sometimes as pop ups and events here and there when the opportunity comes.
At urbantopia we are aiming to rebalance Emotional, Physical, Mental and Energy states, we seek a transformative role in creating tools and practices that ground & reorient users within a fast-changing urban environment.
Our mission is to create an emotional nourishment experience that is built on purpose and partnership. Where communities, creators and collaborators equally uphold wellbeing, selfceare and inclusivity for a better-balanced urban existence. And get in touch with themselves, their space, emotions and energy.
The first touchpoint for this purpose is a curated collection of products from Morocco and beyond. Rugs to elevate your space, resins and woods to burn, to cleanse and connect you with your energy, and natural Moroccan products that hold ancestral traditions and practices.
